The application should be done at least twice a day, and consistency must be maintained in the use of this drug. This is because growth of hair is not an instantaneous activity. The effectiveness of Rogaine is about 25% of men using it. Finasteride (propecia) is in the form of tablets. 5 mg of this drug should be taken daily for about 6 months. Propecia has shown 80% effectiveness in patients who use it. However, caution should be taken in the use of this drug. It should not be used for children and women; it causes birth problems for women. Its side effect in men is impotence, reduce the volume of semen, and unusual sex behaviour.

Surgery involves hair transplant. This hair transplant is costly for most people, but it is a very effective and permanent treatment. One of the side effects of surgery is the development of scars on the surgery points.

Also, laser therapy is another medical treatment. It is a new method of growing hair, though its effectiveness has not been statistically analyzed. The scalp is stimulated with lasers of low-level; this helps to stimulate hair follicles to grow hair. Stimulation of dead hair follicle cells is impossible, laser lights help in the production of red blood cells ‘on the scalp’. This helps to revive hair follicles from their rest rapidly. Hair Growth Natural Treatment

Herbal treatment of diseases dates back to ancient times. This involves the use of herbs and oils. Olive oils help in the growth of hair.
